A Funny Story About Type In Traffic

I haven't been online in forever. At least thats how it seems to me.

This story is about on of my fire and forget domain names, i.e. UnderTableLighting.com

I DJ Weddings and special events sometimes for extra cash, thats when the idea of the domain name hit me. It was available so I bought it for $6.

Turns out a guy I worked for on occasion used to visit the site before the previous domain owner let his registration lapse. He was interested in buying the name from me.

I had it appraised at Sedo for $800 and gave him a copy of the appraisal with the verbal agreement to sell it to him at half that price.

No offer ever came from the discussion and besides the temorary site I threw up with almost no active links and very few pictures I quickly forgot about it.

Until we got a call on pricing from Chicago. For some reason I forgot about it again until we got the call from someone finding it through Type In trafic.

15 Tables $40 a piece, no hesitation, "How do I go about aquiring your services?"

So now the site has generated $600 with absolutely no effort what so ever. No links, no descriptions of our service, nothing.

And to think I was going to sell it for $400 six months ago.

With a little work and marketing this one website could replace all of my current income.
