Transfer of Porn.com is Completed:
$9.5 million sale of Porn.com was announced two weeks ago without a specific final dollar amount being attatched. Transfer of the domain to MXN Limited was completed this week. Porn.com now ranks as the largest all-cash sale of a domain name ever reported.
And starting tomorrow Googles revised rules about Adult Advertising go into effect, June 1st, 2007. Luckily if you have any domains parked your relevant companies have already handled the upcoming shift in advertising revenue so you won't miss a beat.
And on a personal note: I have to learn to speak German. A wonderful lady was trying to lease one of my domain names and I told her that her price was far too low, because I thought she wanted to buy it outright.
When I had cleared up the misunderstanding my price on the table was obviously a very low figure which she gladly accepted. Only slightly more than 7 months in leasing fees would have cost her.
